Temi vs. Ro: membership, pricing and what you actually get

Medically reviewed by Kevin Brandstetter, M.D.Last reviewed September 28, 2026

Ro charges twice: a Ro Body membership at $39 for the first month, then $74 to $149 a month, plus the medication, which starts at $149 a month for the Wegovy or Foundayo pill [1]. Ro sells brand-name GLP-1s and checks insurance for free. Temi needs no membership, sells compounded GLP-1s per vial, and its clinicians can prescribe brand-name options.

The core difference

Ro's pricing page describes itself as two separate charges, and that structure is the clearest difference from Temi [1]. The Ro Body membership costs $39 for the first month, refunded if you turn out not to be eligible for a GLP-1, then $74 to $149 a month depending on plan length; the $74 rate needs a 12-month plan prepaid annually. The medication is billed on top. Ro's catalogue is brand-name only — the Wegovy pill and pen, the Foundayo pill and the Zepbound KwikPen — at cash prices it says match LillyDirect, NovoCare and TrumpRx. Temi has no membership requirement and no plan term. Its own catalogue is compounded: semaglutide or tirzepatide at the per-vial price of the pharmacy you choose, plus a flat $39 prescription service fee [2]. For brand-name care, a Temi clinician can prescribe Zepbound, Wegovy or Foundayo, and the prescription is filled by the manufacturer's self-pay pharmacy — LillyDirect for the two Lilly drugs — at the same kind of reference prices Ro matches, without a membership on top [6].

Where the other provider offers more

Ro's membership covers a wider service than Temi's per-order model. Its FAQ lists a personalised treatment plan, a dedicated insurance concierge, 1:1 provider messaging, regular check-ins, coaching and lab testing where needed [1]. The insurance side is the real differentiator: Ro will check coverage for Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound pens for free and handle the paperwork, which can change the maths completely if your plan pays. Ro also sells the brand-name drugs itself, so prescribing, dispensing and support sit with one company, and its multi-month plans can cut medication prices further for people ready to prepay. Temi can prescribe Zepbound, Wegovy or Foundayo, but you then deal with the manufacturer's pharmacy yourself, and Temi never bills insurance. If you have coverage worth pursuing, Ro is set up for that and Temi is not.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Ro weight loss cost per month?

The Ro Body membership is $39 for the first month, then $74 to $149 a month depending on plan length, and medication is billed separately [1]. The cheapest listed medication is $149 a month for the Wegovy or Foundayo pill. On month-to-month membership that is about $298 a month in total. A Temi compounded semaglutide order starts at $59.99 per vial plus a $39 service fee [2].

Does Ro take insurance?

Partly. Ro offers a free insurance check for Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound autoinjector pens and says it will handle the paperwork, and its membership includes an insurance concierge [1]. The membership fee itself is charged separately. Temi is cash-pay only and never bills insurance, so if your plan covers a brand-name GLP-1, Ro is worth checking first.

Does Ro offer compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Not in the catalogue on its pricing page, which lists only brand-name products — the Wegovy pill and pen, the Foundayo pill and the Zepbound KwikPen [1]. Temi offers compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide when a Temi physician finds them appropriate. Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved products; our compounded vs. brand-name guide explains the difference.

Can I get Foundayo or Zepbound without a Ro membership?

Yes. Ro's prices say they match LillyDirect's self-pay prices [1], and LillyDirect is where a Temi prescription for a Lilly drug is filled. Temi lists Foundayo at $149 per 30-day supply and Zepbound from $299 a month at the starting dose, both paid to LillyDirect rather than Temi [6]. No membership is required at Temi.

Can I get a refund from Ro?

Ro's pricing page says the $39 first month is refunded if you are not eligible for GLP-1s. After that, you can cancel the Ro Body membership any time, but must do so before the next billing period, and monthly fees already charged are nonrefundable [1]. At Temi, if a request is closed before the prescription is sent, only the $39 review fee is charged [2].

Is Ro legit?

Ro is an established US telehealth company that prescribes FDA-approved GLP-1s through licensed providers and publishes its membership and medication prices on its own pricing page [1]. Whether it suits you depends on whether you want brand-name medication and a recurring membership. Compare the total monthly cost, not just the medication line, before you sign up anywhere.

What are Ro's multi-month plans?

Ro describes multi-month plans as prepaid subscriptions that can save up to 50% on the membership or on certain GLP-1 medications. Its examples are $150 a month off a 12-month Wegovy pen plan and $50 a month off a 12-month Wegovy pill plan [1]. Prepaying locks in money up front, so weigh that against how sure you are the treatment will suit you.

Do I have to commit to a year at Temi?

No. There is no plan term and no membership requirement: you order when you need medication and there is nothing recurring to cancel. The optional Temi Care membership costs $449 a year and covers the $39 prescription service on eligible compounded orders plus $0 refills on non-controlled medications [4], but it is not needed to be treated.
