My Weight Loss Journey
I’m not sure if this post belongs here, but I hope it’s okay to share. The photo on the left is me at 28, at my heaviest, 250 lbs. The photo on the right was taken last night, just shy of 40 years old. About five years ago, I began my health journey and lost 100 lbs. I did it without medication, not because I’m against it, but because at the time I simply couldn’t afford it. Honestly, if ZepBound had been accessible to me back then, I would’ve taken it in a heartbeat. There’s no prize for suffering through weight loss when support exists. When I reached 150 lbs, I spent the next 3 - 4 years struggling desperately to maintain that weight. I was doing everything “right”: learning about nutrition and eating healthy, exercising, tracking macros.. yet it felt like a constant battle against my own body. Those years were some of the hardest of my life and led to cycles of binge eating, over-exercising, and constant mental exhaustion. This year, I became fortunate enough to afford ZepBound, and it has changed my life in the most profound way. I no longer deal with out-of-control binges. I don’t constantly stress about food. My mind is quiet. I finally have the mental space to live my life, and I’m no longer in pain from relentless hunger. I’m incredibly grateful for this medication, and I truly love seeing everyone’s journeys in this subreddit. No matter how you get there or when you start, you’re doing something amazing, and you deserve to feel proud of yourself.

45lbs Down Today!
Officially down 45 lbs since starting and feeling amazing. First time posting on here but have been lurking for awhile. So thankful for this community and all the support. I'm 5ft 8in, so not many folks notice right away, but I can tell in my face and clothes significantly. Sleeping better, stairs are easier now, and I love playing with my kid/being active. Wish I would have started sooner - truly life changing. Also have been sober from booze since starting this journey which is a massive victory for me. My dad is an alcoholic, and I won't lie, I was drinking daily until this life change. Really proud of myself and all the folks on here who took the leap! EDIT: Spelling typos.

From BMI 44.3 to 24.9 in 18 months on Mounjaro… down 110 lbs
I hit a milestone today that I honestly never thought I would reach. 18 months ago, I started Mounjaro at a BMI of 44.3 (Class III obesity). Today, I’m at 24.9, which puts me in the “normal” range. I know BMI isn’t a perfect measure of health, and I understand all the limitations, but this still feels like a huge milestone for me personally. I’ve officially lost 110 lbs, and I feel like a completely different person. More energy, more confidence, and just overall better in every way. Mounjaro has truly been life-changing for me. I know it’s not magic and everyone’s journey looks different, but I’m really grateful for what it’s helped me accomplish. If you’re early in your journey or feeling stuck, keep going. It’s worth it.

Finally got the appetite suppression and lack of food noise everyone’s been talking about.
I started back in February on 0.25mg. Felt some appetite suppression and noise suppression, then I made a dumb decision and after 2 months, switched to tirz. For me, that fucked everything up. Food noise and appetite were raging, even as I kept titrating up on Tirz. I decided to switch back to Sema, titrating up and up and up and NEVER FEELING A GD THING. I thought I had messed it up for myself. That these meds weren’t gonna work for me anymore. Today I finally got up to 1.7mg and YAY I FINALLY FEEL WHAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT. Couldn’t even finish my salad for lunch and I’m still not hungry for dinner although I know I need to eat SOMETHING. I hope it stays effective at this dose as I really don’t want to titrate up higher. I think it’s possible me stopping and restarting made my body require a higher dose. Boooo. Anyway. Cheers!

One year update; 73.5lbs lost
Officially hit one year on zep! 🥳 I have lost 73.5lbs and the following changes in measurements: Neck -3.75 inches Biceps -3 inches each Bust -7 inches Waist -10 inches Hips - 12 inches Thighs - 7.5 inches each I started going to the gym and weight lifting in November. It is amazing how much better I feel, how much energy I have, how improved my mood is, how much pain and inflammation have been relieved - truly a miracle! I have been obese my entire life and have tried every diet since I was 12. When I was 14, my mom would wake me up for school with a slim fast and a diet pill. I am so thrilled to finally have something that works! My weight loss has definitely slowed, especially as I've started working out but my measurements continue to change so I focus less on the scale and more on how I look/feel. I have another 100+ to go before my goal but I am setting smaller goals in the meantime! If you are feeling discouraged, don't give up. If you are hesitant on starting, do it now!! It is life changing 🥰

Chronic knee pain has disappeared!!!!
I am truly flabbergasted. I took my first dose of sema a couple of days ago, and my knee pain has vanished. I have struggled with “runners knee” for years. It’s been particularly bad the last year, restricting my mobility and ability to do long runs. I’ve done all the quad and gluten strengthening exercises the Dr recommended with only marginal improvement. Lo and behold, I take sema and my knee pain is gone. I can do a figure 4 stretch without pain for the first time in 8 months. If I lose 0 lbs, sema would be worth it just for this.

I think it's finally time for a progress post because this still doesn't feel real. 🥹 **Stats:** SW: 268.9 CW: 179 GW: 160 Started: 2/23/2025 Highest dose: 10.5 mg This journey hasn't been perfect, but it's honestly been life-changing. If you're early in your GLP-1 journey and wondering if it's worth it.. KEEP GOING. I remember scrolling these posts when I first started and hoping one day l'd have my own. Along the way I also had a breast reduction in Nov 2025 and I'm scheduled for Lipo 360 in August as my final step. after the weight loss. Still working toward my goal, but almost 90 lbs down and so proud of how far I’ve come. ✨

Foundayo pill review
Hi all, Here’s my experience with foundayo. On week 3 now. Started at the 2mg one. Week 1- Started taking the pill in the morning. Felt the food noise disappear pretty quickly. But I felt ILL with headaches and nausea and body aches about 3 days in. Stuck it out. Lost 2 lbs. Week 2- Bad and good symptoms continued. Eventually switched to the pill at night and stopped taking my other medication, trazodone, and slowly started to feel A LOT better. Lost 2 lbs. Week 3- NOW Barely any negative symptoms, and eating a lot less. I think about food less. When I do get hungry, my eyes are definitely bigger than my stomach, but the full feeling stops me in my tracks. The hardest part has been eating enough protein and food etc to be able to do my hobby sports. All in all I would recommend it. Stick it out through the hard parts. Strongly recommend taking it at night after the first couple of days. Drink lots of water. Anyone else having a similar experience? Not sure if I’m going to ask to get bumped up to the 5.5 since this dosage is working well for now.

will never get over how much this changed my life
me holding my daughter! she’s gotten bigger and i’ve gotten smaller. i don’t even think i was at my highest weight in the first photo, but i do remember being so miserable and embarrassed. i would just cry after seeing every picture my husband took of me with our kids, i couldn’t believe that was me. i never wanted to be in any photos ever, and as silly as it sounds that’s one of the main reasons i wanted to start tirzepatide. i always think about my grandmother who hated having her photo taken and she died when i was very young, so the photos i do have of her and with her are few and far between. i want my kids to have all the pictures when i’m gone one day. i also want them to have a mother that is happy, confident, and isn’t miserable in her own skin. it’s also amazing that i can be much more present with them and can physically do more with them than i was able to before when i was in constant pain and had chronic inflammation. i still have my struggles when it comes to food and being so sedentary for years has caused some issues, but i think i’ll be working on that for the rest of my life. but ultimately i am SO grateful to be where i’m at now. SW: 171, CW: 121 maintaining weight, still at 7.5mg/ week. have not gone higher than 10mg in my entire journey and that was for a very short time. my journey has not been side effect free, but ultimately it has been an absolute miracle. thanks for letting me use this sub to get that all out, it’s very therapeutic! also i love seeing people’s progress and hearing from people that are just starting out and watching their journey. 🩷

Dose 4- Update 0.8mg 1st time GLP-1 user
I'll add Dose 5 update here, too, since I weighed in this morning. I actually don't know what a fair starting weight is, because I took Dose 1 on Monday immediately following a weekend vacation where I felt like all we did was eat. Those extra couple of pounds always fall off after normalizing to non-vacation mode, so, I'll need to estimate based on what I think I would have weighed minus the couple of days of travel- Let's say starting weight was 184.5 on Monday. On weigh-in day, I'm 182.3. This is great, but I'm not ready yet to attribute it to Foundayo. Future weeks will be more informative, but definitely wanted to get this documented. I'll start updating every Friday from now on unless something important happens. Took dose #4 of 0.8mg around 9pm last night. Still no side effects (but have rightly been reminded that this is an itty bitty baby dose, so not surprising). I was skeptical at first, but I \*do\* think I am experiencing a different kind of feeling related to food/hunger/cravings. Before when I would think about getting a treat, I would either a) think about it, want it, go get it or b) think about it, want it, choose not to get it because I was trying to diet/eat healthier, etc. Over the past couple of days, I either a) don't think about it or b) think about it and then feel almost like a pause in the thought trajectory where I have time to realize, I don't really want it. So then I don't get it. So, that's pretty cool. And different. I don't know whether it will translate into any weight loss this early, but we'll see tomorrow when I weigh in. What 1 year of Zepbound did to me…
I genuinely cannot believe I’m writing this! A year ago I was terrified to inject my first dose, and was somewhat pessimistic that it would work. I started at 186 pounds at 5’0”. When asked for a goal weight I threw in 120 as a crazy pipe dream. There’s no way in my early 40s, after having two kids, that I would be able to get down to my “high school weight”. I figured I’d refine that and come up with a more realistic goal at some point. It wasn’t just about the weight, anyway. My A1c was creeping up - firmly into the prediabetic range. My liver function tests were too high. My cholesterol was high. Blood pressure was getting higher - sometimes as high as \~135/90. I was using a CPAP for sleep apnea. But here I am at 116 lbs, a year later. I’ve lost 38% of my body weight! My BMI is normal. My A1c went from 6.2 to 5.1. Cholesterol went from 220 to 160. Blood pressure is now 105/70. Liver tests all normal. I just did another sleep study and no longer meet the criteria for sleep apnea. It’s not magic, though - the drug didn’t do the work for me. But it made it so that my body finally responded the way it should. When I was thoughtful about what I ate, when I balanced my carbs with protein and fat and fiber…my body listened and responded accordingly. My brain wasn’t releasing the hormones that literally trick my body into believing that I am starving. I wasn’t feeling deprived and resentful like I had during previous attempts. I was now feeling…satisfied. I wasn’t counting calories and weighing every piece of food. I was eating what I needed and figuring out ways to add protein and fiber to my meals, rather than just subtracting as much as possible. I can’t explain how much better I feel. Less tired, more confident, more comfortable, stronger. Hikes that had me winded a year ago feel much easier. Getting on and off the floor 700 times a day (toddler mom life) is so much less exhausting. Now my goals shift to maintenance and incorporating more exercise. I am so grateful to have access to this medication and to have enough savings in my HSA to cover it. I have an amazing and supportive family and they have been my biggest cheerleaders. Thank you to the folks on this sub who give out great encouragement and helpful tips. Zepbound has truly changed my life for the better!

Inspiration for any slow responders
I have been here since 7.22.25 and losing VERY slowly over these past 10 months. 6 weeks ago I titrated up to 15 mg max dose nowhere else to go up and I was still a slow responder I’d lost 31 lbs over the 10 months a lot of it in the early months the scale of was barely moving the last few months and something amazing happened Starting week 4 of 15 mg I became I guess what would be considered a super responder After 10 months I lost 7.5 lbs in 2 weeks 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I could cry. Reading post after post many losing 10,15, 20 lbs and I was losing 1,2 lbs The lesson here is don’t give up My fellow slow responders especially!!! It happened to me and it can happen to you too ! Don’t be scared to get up to max dose, keep up with your proteins, sleep well, eat veges and have faith this does work. I get on the scale and can’t believe I started at 233 lbs high blood pressure, pre diabetic just my health going in the wrong direction. I seriously worried about not living to take care of my boys being a single mom. I could not afford non compunded glp1 just not possible and 1 day got online searched, found Reddit this sub and others and ordered Tirzepatide. I’m thankful for every single person here on this sub for all your input to help me get educated and Every Telehealth company who works hard to get us our meds and fights FDA and all customer service people for answering my many questions and all the pharmacies for getting me that vial full of miracles and even the delivery persons who delivered to my door time after time as timely as they can. If I could personally come and thank every one of you I would to tell you the impact you’re having on people’s lives. And FDA I hope you see this as well and can see I’m 1 example so many of us this literally saved our lives. I’ll be able to have a longer life, better quality of life and be with my boys who I love so much. Thank you everyone 🙏🏻❤️ I’m 51% of the way there and I’ll get to my goal weight without a doubt !!

My life has been completely changed
Dieting and exercise would do NOTHING for me before, 1.5 years later I’m down 50kg and at a healthy BMI for the first time since teenage years. Just turned 30 and for the first time ever, I feel confident in my body, feel beautiful and feminine. I initially started on Wegovy as my last hope to shed some weight so I can prepare for a future healthy pregnancy. And now I’m on my way down dosage wise. Unlearned so many bad habits, built a healthy relationship with food where I allow myself to eat the things I crave, found a form of exercise I LOVE and keep at it, push on my records all the time (cycled 100 kms on a random Saturday like wtf 🤯). I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this medicine changed my life and feel so privileged to be able to have access to it. To make things even more unreal, have only experienced mild symptoms on 3 occasions where I overate/ ate something too fatty. I’ve been the biggest advocate for Wegovy to everyone in my life who has asked how I did it - I think so many people are ashamed/ gatekeep how they lost weight with Wegovy, but I think EVERYONE who is overweight should at least have the knowledge that this medicine exists. If anyone reading this is just starting their journey, hope this is giving you hope ❤️

How is this even the same person?!
Came across this picture recently and can’t believe this was ever me! December 2023- 225lbs to February 2026- 124 pounds. Size 18/2X to 6ish/small in most things. Started brand name Zepbound in January 2025 at 205 pounds, and switched to compounded Tirzepatide after 3 months. I stayed on 2.5mg for about 10 months, then slowly increased to 4mg weekly as my current dose. I’ve had minimal side effects of constipation and mild, infrequent nausea. I eat in a calorie deficit, using Cronometer to track my food intake since canceling WW in October. I LOVE the ability to see my weekly average calorie intake, so I focus on staying in range over the week rather than hitting a specific number every day. I walk 30 minutes on my walking pad most days (and I mean SLOW walk- 2mph while scrolling my phone or reading 🤣), and do a total body strength training circuit at home 2-3 days a week, progressively increasing the weighs. My PCP is on board with me decreasing and/or spacing out my doses, or staying on long-term, whatever works for me. I’ve come off the blood pressure meds I’ve been on for 20+ years, and my cholesterol and A1C are great- I’ve had borderline high cholesterol and pre-diabetic A1C for years, and both my parents are type 2 diabetic. I’ll be forever grateful for this life-changing medication, and for this sub for all the education!

Hit my goal weight!
I started this journey at 210 lbs. I’m 31yo, 5’9”. I hated myself, severely lacked self confidence, became the ultimate hermit, hit underneath oversized clothes. Yesterday I weighed in for shot #31 and I weighed 155! So much has changed on this marathon and I couldn’t be more grateful for this medication. I’m bubbly and outgoing again, more playful and funny, I cropped all my oversized shirts! I’ve finally found myself again that was hiding under 55lbs of weight. My hormones are finally regulated from my PCOS! I’m enjoying life for the first time in a long time and not hiding from the mirrors! 🥰 I’ve had to buy some new clothes due to my old ones literally falling off of me. ONE MONTH FOUNDAYO REVIEW: Coming from Compounded Sema
Hi all, figured I'd share a proper month one update because I couldn't find many honest ones when I was just starting out. **overall down 2.1lbs:** Had a wedding, a birthday weekend and a work trip this month so not stressed about the number at all, water weight and life happened **side effects:** Constipation is the one nobody warned me about. cCming from compounded sema the GI experience is noticeably different and honestly worse in this specific way. Currently experimenting with more fiber and magnesium glycinate at night, slowly getting better. **the good stuff:** Coming into my last week on the starter dose I can genuinely feel the appetite suppression now. It's not dramatic but it's there hunger shows up, I eat, it quiets down. No urge to just eat to eat which is actually huge for me personally. Inflammation is also down which i wasn't expecting this early. also on metformin for insulin which i think is helping the overall picture **stats:** 5'4 | CW 174lbs | 32F | goal 148 Moving up to the next dose tomorrow and genuinely excited to see what month two looks like. anyone else find the constipation worse than their previous GLP experience and what actually helped
