Is online prescribing allowed in New York?
Yes. New York recognizes store-and-forward (asynchronous) telehealth under Public Health Law Article 29-G, and its in-person examination requirement applies only to controlled substances. New York is not part of any licensure compact, so the prescriber must hold a full New York license, and the same standard of care applies to telehealth and in-person visits. A New York-licensed physician can therefore evaluate you and prescribe a non-controlled medication online without a prior in-person visit.

Yes. Gabapentin is not a controlled substance under federal law or in New York, so a New York-licensed physician can review a refill request for it. In a few states that schedule it, Temi does not prescribe it.
What happens if the physician says no?
The physician explains the decision to you. The fee pays for the review, so a no alone is not refunded; if you are not satisfied with the clinical service, tell the care team why and the review fee is refunded.
