The core difference: membership

Temi does not require a membership to get medication. You pay $15 per refill or $39 per compounded GLP-1 prescription order as you go. An optional $449 per year Temi Care membership includes unlimited refills of eligible non-controlled medications and the compounded GLP-1 prescription service on eligible orders.1

Hims requires one. Its own pricing footnote states that an active Hims Weight Loss Membership is required, at $39 for the first month and $149 per month after that, that membership is billed separately from the medication, and that medication is not available without a membership.2 Its FAQ adds that canceling the membership also cancels any active medication plan and access to care through the platform.3

Pricing side by side

The two catalogs do not overlap much, which is itself the answer for most shoppers: Temi sells compounded GLP-1s, and Hims's published weight-loss catalog lists brand-name products.2

Compounded GLP-1 starting prices at Temi and at Hims
MedicationTemiHims
Compounded semaglutide injectableFrom $74.99 per fill + $39 service1Not in the published catalog2
Compounded tirzepatide injectableFrom $109.99 per fill + $39 service1Not in the published catalog2

A fill is one vial, which is used for 28 days after it is opened rather than a calendar month. The $39 prescription service is what a non-member pays per order; Temi Care includes it. Each starting price is one a patient can reach in every state Temi serves; some states start lower.

Temi does not sell or dispense brand-name products. For the brand-name side, Hims publishes starting prices of $149 per month for the Wegovy Pill and $299 per month for the Zepbound Vial, each covering medication only, with the membership billed separately.2

Where Hims offers more

To be fair, the Hims membership bundles more than a prescription. Its own page lists 24/7 care team access, nutrition and exercise guidance, a peer community, a smart scale, and partner discounts, and the company sells across hair, sexual health, testosterone, and mental health under one account.2 If you want a single subscription spanning several health categories, that breadth may be worth the membership fee to you. Temi is focused on cash-pay prescription management and GLP-1 weight-loss care.

Frequently asked questions

Is Hims cheaper than Temi?
It depends on the medication and how long you stay enrolled. The prices Hims advertises cover medication only, and its own pricing footnote says an active Hims Weight Loss Membership is required at $39 for the first month and $149 per month after that, billed separately, with medication not available without it. At Temi a compounded GLP-1 order is the medication price plus a flat $39 prescription service fee for non-members, both shown before you are charged, and nothing recurring is required to get it.
Does Hims offer compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide?
Not in its published weight-loss catalog as of September 2026, which lists brand-name products. Temi's marketplace does offer compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide when a Temi clinician finds them appropriate.
What happens if I cancel at Hims?
Per Hims's own FAQ, canceling the membership also cancels any active medication plan and access to care through the platform, while canceling a medication plan does not affect the membership. Confirm current terms with Hims directly.
