Moving a prescription from your current pharmacy, like CVS or Walgreens, to Cost Plus is possible, but there is usually a faster way to get the same result.
How a transfer works
You ask Cost Plus to transfer the prescription, and a Cost Plus pharmacist contacts your current pharmacy by fax or phone to request it.
Why transfers stall
Your current pharmacy may never respond, and Cost Plus will not call you back when that happens. Your prescription can sit at the old pharmacy for days while you assume the transfer is in progress.
A transfer also carries the prescription over as it stands: the same expiration date and whatever refills remain.
The faster path: request it through Temi
Request a refill through Temi instead. After a clinician reviews and approves your request, we send a fresh prescription directly to Cost Plus. Nothing depends on your old pharmacy, and the new prescription comes with a fresh expiration date and its own refills.
You will still need a Cost Plus account for the prescription to reach you. See Set up your Cost Plus Drugs account.
