Amazon Pharmacy does not ship a new prescription as soon as it receives it. You need an Amazon Pharmacy profile and must complete checkout for your first order. Manage your profile and orders at Amazon Pharmacy.
Set up Amazon Pharmacy
Sign in with your Amazon account, then complete the separate Amazon Pharmacy profile. Choosing Amazon Pharmacy for your Temi prescription does not create this profile automatically, and Temi cannot create it for you.
After Temi sends the prescription
After Temi sends your prescription, an Amazon pharmacist reviews it. Amazon then notifies you using the email or text settings in your Pharmacy profile.
The notification means the prescription is ready for you to order. Receiving the prescription does not authorize payment or shipment. Amazon will not ship it until you sign in and complete the order.
Complete the order
- Sign in to Amazon Pharmacy.
- Compare the available insurance and cash prices.
- Choose your payment method and delivery option.
- Place the order.
Delivery and tracking
Delivery timing depends on your medication, location, and available delivery options. Use the personalized estimate Amazon shows during checkout and in your Pharmacy dashboard instead of relying on a fixed delivery window.
After your medication ships, open your Amazon Pharmacy orders to see tracking and the latest delivery estimate.
Amazon recommends using your current local pharmacy for urgent medication needs, including antibiotics or medication you will run out of within a week.
Refills and renewals
After Amazon fills your prescription for the first time, you may be able to turn on automatic refills. Not every prescription is eligible. Amazon may also contact your prescriber before your last refill to request a new prescription.
If your prescription has expired or has no refills left, request a refill through Temi. A Temi clinician will review your request and, if approved, send a new prescription to Amazon Pharmacy.
Who handles what
- Amazon Pharmacy handles checkout, payment, shipping, tracking, and questions about your medication order.
- Temi handles clinical review and requests for new or renewed prescriptions.
