Temi vs. MEDVi: prices, terms and one public record
Medically reviewed by Kevin Brandstetter, M.D.Last reviewed September 28, 2026
MEDVi now publishes prices on medvi.org: compounded semaglutide from $149 for the first month, then $299 per refill, and tablets from $249 [1]. In February 2026 the FDA sent MEDVi a warning letter over misleading claims about compounded GLP-1s [4]. Temi's compounded semaglutide is from $59.99 per vial plus a $39 service fee [6].
The core difference
Two things separate these services: how the price moves after month one, and a public regulatory record. When this page was first written, MEDVi's pricing could not be verified on a working company site. It can now. MEDVi's GLP-1 page lists compounded injections from $149 for the first month under a "Summer Sale", with refills "locked in at $299", compounded tablets from $249, and Wegovy or Zepbound at a $99 membership plus the medication cost [1]. The program has no contract, but it is a subscription billed each cycle [3]. Separately, on 20 February 2026 the FDA's drug centre issued MEDVi, LLC a warning letter saying its website falsely presented MEDVi as the compounder and implied its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide matched brand-name drugs [4]. Temi's price does not step up after a first order: compounded semaglutide from $59.99 per 7.5 mg vial and compounded tirzepatide from $104.99 per 8.5 mg vial, each plus a flat $39 prescription service fee, with the pharmacy named at checkout [7].

Where the other provider offers more
MEDVi's compounded plan is an all-in subscription. Its FAQ says the first-month price covers the physician review, a personalised plan, 1:1 guidance, a metabolic report and the medication shipped to your door, and refills keep the same benefits [1]. It lists unlimited 24/7 support, free expedited delivery, and dietitian visits and care coaching that it says are free subject to insurance eligibility [2]. For brand-name treatment it keeps Wegovy and Zepbound patients inside its own membership, where Temi hands a brand prescription to the manufacturer's pharmacy, and it says it accepts HSA and FSA funds. A warning letter is the FDA's finding at a point in time, not a closure order; companies respond, and the FDA posts closeout letters when issues are resolved. If MEDVi appeals to you, read the letter in full, check the FDA database for any later update, and confirm the current refill price in writing before your second month.
Frequently asked questions
How much does MEDVi cost per month?
MEDVi's GLP-1 page says its semaglutide program starts at $149 for the first month, with no contract, and refills are "locked in at $299" [1]. Compounded tablets start at $249, and Wegovy or Zepbound cost a $99 membership plus the medication. The $149 is labelled a sale price, so confirm it at checkout. Temi's compounded semaglutide starts at $59.99 per vial plus $39 [6].
Is MEDVi legit?
MEDVi is a real telehealth platform: prescribing decisions are made by OpenLoop Health clinicians, and it names its partner pharmacies on its site [2]. It also received an FDA warning letter in February 2026 over misleading claims about its compounded products [4]. Weigh both facts, read the letter itself, and check the FDA database for any later response or closeout.
What did the FDA warning letter to MEDVi say?
The letter, issued by CDER on 20 February 2026, said MEDVi's website falsely represented MEDVi as the compounder of its semaglutide and tirzepatide products, and that phrases such as "same active ingredient as Wegovy and Ozempic" misleadingly implied equivalence to FDA-approved drugs. It cited misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) and asked for a written response within 15 working days [4].
Does MEDVi take insurance?
No. MEDVi says all its prescriptions are cash-pay, though insurance may reimburse you for branded options, and it accepts HSA and FSA [1]. Temi is also cash-pay only and never bills insurance. Neither will bill a plan directly for compounded medication, which insurers generally do not cover.
Can I get a refund from MEDVi?
Under MEDVi's refund policy you get a full refund if you cancel within the first 72 hours before receiving any services, or if a provider disqualifies you. On monthly billing there is no refund for the month in which you cancel or earlier months, and cancellation must reach MEDVi at least 72 hours before the next billing date [3].
Why does MEDVi's price go up after the first month?
MEDVi advertises $149 for the first month of its semaglutide program and $299 for refills [1], so the introductory month is discounted rather than the ongoing rate. Budget on the refill price. Temi does not use an introductory rate; each order is the same per-vial price plus the $39 service fee, and our GLP-1 cost calculator compares totals.
Does a warning letter mean MEDVi is shut down?
No. A warning letter notifies a company of violations the FDA has identified and requires a response; it is not a closure order or a court ruling. The FDA posts response and closeout letters when a matter is resolved, and its public database is the place to check current status [5]. MEDVi's site was operating when we checked on 28 September 2026.
What should I check before choosing any GLP-1 provider?
Whether the price is published before you pay, whether it changes after the first month, whether a membership is required, how cancellation and refunds work, which pharmacy fills the order, and whether the company has any FDA warning letters. Confirm terms on each company's own site. Our Temi vs. Henry Meds page applies the same checks to another provider.

Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are not FDA-approved generics of the brand-name products. A licensed 503A compounding pharmacy prepares each one for a single prescription.
